Brian Kryszewski is an author and historian with a passion for history. He brings to life stories of family legacy, 19th-century Mexican history, and the leaders who shaped a nation. As a proud descendant of General Ignacio Mejía, he draws from extensive research to share Mexico’s rich and complex history in his La Patria es Primero series.
Brian studied Mexican American history at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where he earned a Minor in history. In 1991, he contributed to the Handbook of Texas with research on four small Texas towns bypassed by the railroads. That same year, he presented his work at the First Annual Mexican American in Texas History Conference, exploring families who left everything behind during the Mexican Revolution.
